The Chapters of Life: PROLOGUE

PROLOGUE










    I would give anything in the world to have that beautiful ending where the troubled couple has some traumatic experience that brought them closer than ever before; where their families are joined and laughing, stuffing their faces with wedding cake and that one song "Some Kind of Wonderful" begins playing as everything fades to black and movie credits appear.

I wish.

    Movies, books, music, or those crazy stupid and poorly scripted "reality" television shows has corrupted not only me, but possibly the whole world of how life should be like.  We are so lost in the fantasies of someone else's imagination that more often than not people try to place their lives or relationships as if they were in a movie, rather than take life for what it is, saving themselves from the devastating stings of reality and finally understanding that their lives aren't at all what they thought.

   What I question is, how can two people claiming to love each other so much, or go through so much pain, doing everything they can to give each other chance after chance, still be doomed for failure?  You do everything you possibly can to make things right, and juggle unwanted opinions, struggle through numerous and sometimes unnecessary sacrifices… why is it after everything I've done am I still here at the failure mark?

    There is no such thing as you achieving something, then all of a sudden movie credits play and montages of your journey are rolling by because when you feel your life is coming to an end, life doesn't stop just there.  It continues on and there will always be a tomorrow no matter what.  Even if you were to die today, it would only be your chapter in the book of life that would end, continuing onto someone else.  

Right now, this is my turn.
